Dry Bowser is a recurring character from the Mario series. It is the skeletal form of Bowser.

New Super Mario Bros.[edit | edit source]

In the castle of World 1, when Mario defeats Bowser, Bowser falls into the lava, which kills him and turns him into a skeleton. Dry Bowser first appears in the first castle of World 8. Mario later encounters Bowser Jr. in the second castle of World 8, where Bowser Jr. throws Dry Bowser's bones into a pot and resurrects Bowser.

Mario Kart Wii[edit | edit source]

Dry Bowser also made an appearance in Mario Kart Wii. It is officially named "Dry Bowser" in this game.

Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games[edit | edit source]

Dry Bowser and three Dry Bones appear as the final team in the ice hockey event.

Combat[edit | edit source]

In New Super Mario Bros., Dry Bowser throws bones and spits fire. Dry Bowser is immune to fireballs. There are two ways to defeat Dry Bowser. The first is for Mario to hit the switch, which causes Dry Bowser to fall. The second option is for Shell Mario to smash into Dry Bowser.
